The Rift is a current-day fantasy novel, not intended for the young'uns. It features all the classic movie monsters in a chosen-one story about a down and out bartender, Matt, who meets a woman who tells him he is a Fae and that all the classic monsters (vampires, werewolves, sorcerers, etc.) are real. Matt is attacked by a were, and infected, which marks him as too powerful and a threat to the monster community. Oddly, most of the monster community are normal, friendly people just trying to live their lives. Matt needs to make friends with the monsters, learn how to use his newfound powers and somehow prevent himself being killed by factions bent on using him to gain power in the community.
